Las Vegas as a Multicultural Experience

While the Las Vegas strip won’t give you an authentic cultural encounter of the places the various hotels are mimicking, it’s nice to at least get a taste of that culture. With hotels such as The Luxor, The Venetian, Paris, Caesar’s Palace, and New York New York, one can experience a bit of the architecture and atmosphere of those countries and cities. And while the ambience might verge on kitsch, it’s at least better than not experiencing that country at all. For example, if I never make it to Venice, I’ll be glad that I was at least able to walk beside the canals in The Venetian.

But perhaps the strongest draw for finding culture in Las Vegas are the tourists that visit. With the strip becoming ever more popular, it draws people from all over the world. So while the Eiffel Tower and the Egyptian Pyramids may be imitations, the people you can encounter from other countries are genuine.
